Accessible Taxi & Livery Forums

In November and December 2008, the Disabilities Network of New York City is holding free public Forums on Accessible Taxis & Liveries in every borough.  City University of New York and Long Island University are generously hosting the Forums on their campuses.

All Forums are wheelchair accessible.  ASL and CART provided at all locations.

Forums have taken place in Staten Island on November 19 and in Queens on November 25. Remaining dates, locations and directions are below.  All Forums take place from 6:30-8pm.


Tuesday, December 2 – Brooklyn
Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus
1 University Plaza at the Spike Lee Screening Room

Directions: In the Spike Lee Screening Room.  Subway: B or R to Dekalb.

Wednesday, December 3 – Bronx
50 Bedford Park Blvd West
Lehman College, Music Building, East Dining Room

Directions: Located between Greenwich & West Streets in the Richard Harris Terrace on the ground floor left next to the BMCC Bookstore. There is an accessible ramp at the 199 Street entrance.  Subway: 1, 2, 3 & A,C, E.
